Puerto de la Duquesa marina is a short walk or drive away. There are many restaurants and bars to choose from including Greek, pizza, Indian, Chinese, Spanish, tapas bars, etc. Lively night life and some shops. Also nearby is the 'old port' which has fish and seafood restaurants, beach bars and lots of atmosphere.

Sunday's see a flea market at nearby town of Sabanillas. It is well situated for excursions La Duquessa - roominto southern Andalucia to see the white villages.

Estepona, a 10 minute drive away has waterskiing, windsurfing, jet-skiing, scuba diving, sailing, pedaloes, fishing and boat trips. Marbella (20 minute drive) has excellent shopping and night life.
