Located in the hills between San Pedro and Estepona, Monte Mayor was designed by Malaga native Pepe Gancedo, whose philosophy is "Why move the earth when a golf hole should follow the natural contours?"
Possibly the Costa del Sol's most spectacular course, with breathtaking views on every hole, Monte Mayor features a challenging layout over mountainous terrain for the bold and the accurate. The course meanders through a mountain valley, with ravines and gullies, winding streams, raised tees and plataued fairways all part of the course.
The greens are some of the finest on the coast. All in all, Monte Mayor is a most enjoyable course to play, and the clubhouse is cosy and very popular. It's well worth the short trip in to the countryside to play this course.
The course is 18 holes, Par 71, 5354 mts. from the mens yellow tees. There is a pro-shop where golf clubs can be hired and also a practice putting green. Buggies are supplied per pair of golfers at this course.
