Some recent major repairs have improved the course. The new design has two lakes which make it easier to reach the 11th hole. Two raised tees have been built for the 14th hole which have made it into something special.
There is a big difference between the first 9 holes and the back 9, so much so that you might almost think you were playing on two different courses. On the first 9, the fairways are quite wide though pretty uneven and both the trees and the water act as natural hazards.
On the second stretch, the course is flatter and sown with orange trees (“naranjos” in Spanish), so its not hard to guess where the club gets its name.
Miraflores Golf Club opened for play in 1990 and the fairways and greens are maintained in lush splendour throughout the year, and water is supplied from three artificial ponds which come into play on four holes. The Golf Academy offers tuition for everyone -- from the outright beginner to the most discerning low-handicap golfer wishing to hone his skills.

Pro Shop, Restaurant, Bar, Floodlit Driving Range, Putting + Bunker Practice, Video, Golf Academy (multi-lingual); Rental Clubs, Trolleys, Buggies available.
Directions:
Going towards Málaga, turn off the highway about 15 kilometres east of Marbella at the Riviera signs and the course is about 2 kilometres from the highway.
